Domino Server 6.0.1 CF1 Linux - RedHat

I'm trying to set up a non-notes relay server for passing SMTP queues to and from our otherwise isolated Domino/Linux intranet and the outside world.

As I understand it, Sendmail requires a fully qualified internet host name; i.e. server.acme.COM (uppercase for emphasis). When I set up our Domino server, being new to all this, set up the hostname in the format of server.acme (no .com) and when changing the /etc/hosts file to reflect the .com part, the Domino server can't bind to the host anymore.

I've thus far updated the Server document's Basics and Notes Network Ports tab to reflect the new host name, but no dice. Can anyone think where else Domino would store the host information?

Thanks in advance,
